Christopher Stuart

Christopher Stuart is an American artist and designer based in Carmel, Indiana.  He attended the Herron School of Art and Design and graduated in 2012 with a BFA in Furniture Design. His work is inspired by the undefined areas where art and design intersect, further challenging the idea of function. In 2016, Stuart presented Constructs & Glitches, his first comprehensive collection of work in a solo exhibition at the The Future Perfect, New York. He has been recognized by Sight Unseen and listed on the American Design Hot List in 2014 and 2016. In 2017, he received a Wallpaper Design Award for Glitch 2. His work has been published in the New York Times T Magazine, Wallpaper Magazine, Fast Company, and Pin-Up Magazine to name a few. Stuart’s work is in the permanent collections of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and the Cadillac House, New York.  He is also author of DIY Furniture 1 & 2, published by Laurence King.
